A Education Delegation from Finland led by H.E. Mr Hannu Ripatti, Ambassador of Finland to Pakistan and Mr Wille Eerola, Hon. Consul General of Pakistan to Finland visited Aga Khan University (AKU) and Aga Khan Examination Board (AKEB). Day was closed with a visit to Aga Khan Higher Secondary School.

The delegation with Dr Kristiina Heikkilä, Head of Department, Teacher Education and Mr Ari Koski, Key Account Manager from University of Turku and Mr. Antti Kaskinen, CEO and Ms. Helena Mäkinen, Education Program Lead from Finnish Global Education Solutions visited the AKU’s Karimabad Campus for a day long visit.




The visit was hosted by AKEB with Dr Shehzad Jeeva (CEO, AKU-EB) and Dr Anjum Halai (Vice Provost, AKU) along with Dr Jamil Ahmed Khan, Mr Hanif Shariff and Dr Munira Amirali welcomed the guests. Dr Halai gave an overview of the AKU’s impact on education followed by a presentation by Dr Kristiina on the University of Turku (UTU).

The guests were given a tour of the IED campus, after which they interacted with the Boards staff members, followed by a short Q&A session. Later, they visited the school at Karimabad where they were hosted by the principal, Dr Hina Velji.
