Today, 70 years ago – on January 12, 1951 – diplomatic relations between Finland and Pakistan were established and the first Ambassador of Finland to Karachi, Mr. Asko Ivalo was appointed with a letter from J.K. Paasikivi, President of Finland to His Majesty George VI.
