Mr. Wille Eerola, Hon. Consul General of Pakistan in Finland had a great honour to host a Pakistani delegation in Finland this week, lead by H.E. Ahmad Hussain Dayo, Ambassador of Pakistan to Finland and Sweden. Two businessmen from Pakistan, Mr. Ahmad Jalal, CEO of Aman Foundation and Mr. Issam Baig, Managing Director of Jan Mohammad & Sons joined the Ambassador and Hon. Consul General for a wide set of meetings with corporate leaders and management, representatives of educational institutes and organisations in Helsinki and Turku.
The visit included meetings with Wärtsilä Corporation, Finland’s National Agency of Education, Finnfund and Finnpartnership, Valio, University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, EduExcellence (Haaga-Helia, Metropolia and Laurea Universities of Applied Sciences), City of Turku’s Education Division, Turku Vocational Institute and Chamber of Turku.
The visit of was also sweetly flavoured with some Mango Diplomacy as the delegation delivered fresh mangoes from Pakistan to all of our hosts during the meetings. Pakistani mangoes also made their first ever appearance in Finland at the food hall of Stockmann department store, the most prestigious store in Finland.

Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Ahmad Hussain Dayo visited the mango event at the Stockmann department store on Tuesday, June 19.

Mr. Jaakko Eskola, CEO of Wärtsilä Corporation, receives fresh mangoes from Pakistan as his birthday present.

Mr. Ahmad Jalal, CEO of Aman Foundation dressed Mr. Jaakko Eskola, CEO of Wärtsilä Corporation with a traditional scarf from the Sindh Province.

Box of fresh Pakistani mangoes was delivered to Dr. Lauri Tuomi, Director of Education Finland.

Delegation visited Finnfund and Finnpartnership in Helsinki.

Ambassador delivered fresh Pakistani mangoes to Mrs. Annikka Hurme, CEO of Valio.

Visit to the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at University of Helsinki, hosted by the Dean, Mrs. Ritva Toivonen.

Another round of Mango Diplomacy took place when the delegation delivered fresh mangoes within the meeting with the three Universities of Applied Sciences in the capital region, hosted by Mr. Teemu Kokko, President of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.

Mr. Hannu Immonen, Director, Education Division, City of Turku and Ambassador Ahmad Hussain Dayo in discussion about the Pakistani mangoes after the meetings at the Turku Vocational Institute.

Mr. Issam Baig, Managing Director of Jan Mohammad & Sons gave an overview of the need of skilled manpower in Pakistan and Gulf Region.
The delegation also visited one campus area of the Vocational Institute in Turku, including a visit to Automotive Services and Repair department at Peltola campus in Turku, car mechanics department, guided by Technical Teacher Mr. Verneri Onjukka.
